The main disadvantage of electric vehicles is their short distance range.

In order to solve the issue engineers around the world decided to create hybrid cars that would include both an electric motor and a conventional one.

One of the most original hybrid concepts up to date was designed by James Piatt, who decided to name his car MOFO.

Piatt’s hybrid car is a classical roadster, which however, boasts a sleek design, well-defined curves and simplicity. People who are less concerned about emissions can hear the car roar on the road, while the environmentally-conscious ones can switch to electric engine, which is quite silent.

The American designer looks forward to produce 300 units of his MOFO hybrid vehicle in 2012.
