Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell – All-Electric Supercar

Recently the famous carmaker Mercedes unveiled the images of its electric supercar prototype entitled Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell.

This electric car is propelled by a series of motors powered by a battery. In addition, it boasts gull-wing doors and a unique paint job entitled Lumilectric Mango.

The vehicle has an impressive list of features – it boasts acceleration from 0 to 60mph in 4 seconds and the motors mix in order to apply 526hp and 649 pound-feet of torque to the wheels.

Besides, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell features an increase available downforce because of its expandable front splitter and rear diffuser.

It is worth mentioning that this electric supercar is part of the company’s 2015 strategy to cut fuel consumption and emissions of new vehicles in the near future.

According to some reports, this electric vehicle was already developed at could be launched into the market in 2013.
