Recently a company called Zero South presented its Biodiesel Electric Hummer.

The modified version of the famous Hammer H1 features tracks on all of its fours corners. This was made to make the vehicle suitable for South Pole travel.

It is worth mentioning that the entire trip to the South Pole will be recorded by Chris Paine, who became popular after the movie “Who Killed the Electric Car?”

Back in 2008 it was reported that the biodiesel vehicle would be driven by Buzz Aldrin and Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple.

Initially the Zero South Biodiesel Electric Hummer was created to a vehicle powered by B99 fuel. However, Jay Leno decided to join the team and redesign the powertrain.

He wanted the 4-cylinder diesel Volkswagen motor to play the role of a generator to 4 electric motors.

Each electric engine would then provide energy to the individual track it is connected to.
