Volkswagen’s New Eco-Friendly Vehicle Registers 235MPG

The famous German car manufacturer Volkswagen said that it will soon present its brand new eco-friendly vehicle at this year’s Qatar Motor Show.

The car spends 1 liter of gasoline each 100 kilometers, which is the equivalent of 235 miles per gallon.

It would be interesting to note that the new vehicle represents an upgraded version of the VW L1 model and is equipped with an ultra-efficient diesel engine that runs in cooperation with an electric motor. Chase 2053 – Hydrogen Vehicle that Can Move on Both Land and Air

With an increasing number of futuristic car designs, we’re getting closer to vehicles that could transport people not only by land but by land as well.

One of the newest and most interesting concept cars was designed by Thomas Larsen Roed who spent a lot of time designing an eco-friendly vehicle, which, after finally being finished, was called “Chase 2053.”

Aerius – Solar-Powered Electric Supercar

Engineers are continuously working on extending the range of electric vehicle. According to designer Pei-Cheng Hsieh of the Monash University, there’s a necessity to equip vehicle with solar panels.

He decided to design his own vehicle and called it Aerius. The concept electric car shows how the proposed technology works.

Japanese ZMP Unveils Robotic Electric Vehicle

ZMP, a Japanese carmaker, said it will start producing a single-seater electric robotic vehicle, dubbed RoBoCar.

The eco-friendly vehicle is equipped with a series of sensors, including an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), speed sensor and laser range finders.

18-Passenger E-Shuttle Bus from American Electric Vehicles

American Electric Vehicles (AEV), a company with headquarters in Colorado, has produced an e-Shuttle bus.

The firm designed and built its 18-passenger electric shuttle bus and hopes to sell it in China and India.

The company’s co-founder Dr. Dan Rivers is also the founder of Compact Power Inc., a company that focuses on the production of lithium-ion batteries.

The Electric Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell Presented at 2011 Detroit Auto Show

Visitors of the 2011 Detroit Auto Show were able to see the new creation of Mercedes-Benz – the SLS AMG E-Cell.

Wearing a matte-yellow color, the supercar features 4 synchronous electric motors able to generate 525 horsepower.
