Veritas RSIII Roadster Hybrid – The Quickest Hybrid Vehicle on the Planet

A combination of eco-friendliness and high performance is what the beautiful Veritas RSIII Roadster Hybrid can boast with.

It would be interesting to note that the core of this green supercar is the BMW-sourced V10 engine that can generate 507-horsepower and allow the vehicle to register acceleration from 0 to 60mph in just 3.1 seconds.

This figure is even better than the all-petrol version of the same model. Inside the model developed by Vermot AG one will be able to find a lithium-ion battery pack.

The top speed of this white beast is 205mph. By using the electric engine alone, the car can register a range of 31 miles.

It is worth mentioning that the Veritas RSIII Roadster is also equipped with Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) that offers additional power to the li-ion battery by making use of regenerative braking technology.

According to the head of Vermot’s board, the company plans to launch a coupe version of its green vehicle. The presentation is expected to be this summer. In addition, by 2013 Vermot looks forward to launching an all-electric version.

Germany’s Artega Launches New Electric Sports Car Called Artega SE

Following the Tesla Roadster, a German carmaker Artega decided to launch a nice-looking electric sports vehicle – Artega SE.

The sports car was presented at Geneva Motor Show. It is worth mentioning that Artega SE was built after its GT counterpart.

The twin electric motors incorporated in the car can generate 375 horsepower and allow the vehicle to register a speed of 124mph.

Inside one will be able to find a 37kW lithium polymer battery, which can be fully charged in about an hour and a half (if charged at a commercial charging station).

On a full charge the vehicle can travel for about 186 miles before requiring a refill. Because of the additional horsepower, Artega can register even better results than GT.

Due to the fact that both cars were built with similar weight distribution, the latest version shows good handling.

This year, according to the German carmaker, a set of 500 eco-friendly vehicles will be launched, each being available for $208,500 – plus import fees.

Fisker Karma – Luxury Plug-In Hybrid Vehicle to Enter Production Soon

The car will roll off the company’s assembly line by March 2012 and hit the stores around the United States in April.

It is worth mentioning that this nice-looking eco-friendly vehicle was expected to be launched in November 2009, but the production was pushed back to September 2010. Then it was once again pushed back to February 2011.

The famous German car manufacturer Porsche decided to unveil its new 2012 Panamera S Hybrid.

The presentation took place before the opening of the Geneva Auto Show.

It is worth mentioning that according to Porsche its new eco-friendly vehicle will register 34.5 miles per gallon.

Mitsuoka Motors Unveils Himiko – Classic Electric Supercar

The majority of electric vehicles that run on the streets today take modern forms, but a Japanese firm called Mitsuoka Motors came up with the idea of making an electric car with a classic design.

The company’s electric supercar is based on the contemporary Mazda NC MX-5 sports car and is called the Himiko. The car is not only environmentally friendly but is also very stylish.

Aerius – Solar-Powered Electric Supercar
