Finally the Trident Iceni is ready for launch after a decade of management changes, restructuring, redesign and refinancing.

Scheduled for launch at the UK’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power on July 15, the vehicle boasts a modified 550 bhp, GM 6.6 liter, twin-turbo diesel V8 that is powered by bio-fuel.

Previously it was stated that the Iceni will be able to register a speed of 230 mph, and acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds.

In addition, it was informed that the vehicle is able to deliver 70 miles per gallon at a constant 70 mph. Iceni is expected to have a price tag of $150,000.

It would be interesting to note that the name of the car comes from the original tribe that inhabited the Norfolk region where the vehicle will be built.

Some additional specifications claim that the car weights only 1,480 kg and has an eight speed automatic transmission.

This year’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power will take place between July 15 and 17 July at Cholmondeley Castle, Malpas, Cheshire.
