X-Frame – Electric Vehicle That Easily Folds for Storage

This rather odd vehicle has been recently unveiled at the Good Design Expo 2010.

The prototype, dubbed X-Frame, is a revolutionary folding vehicle that can push the boundaries of urban mobility to a new extent.

It commercially launched, the vehicle may as well replace the motorcycle.

Volvo Skylon – Futuristic, Eco-Friendly Truck

Designer Nikita Kalinin, a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design from Art Center College of Design, came up with the idea of creating a futuristic high-speed truck for Volvo.

He was greatly inspired by the aerodynamics of Bullet Trains and Le Mans cars.

Biofuel-Powered Vehicle to Help Researchers Explore Antarctica

Recently the Moon-Regan Transantarctic Expedition team announced its plan to travel 3,600 miles across Antarctica.

The journey is expected to start this winter and the main helpers of the team are several ice-riders that run on biofuel.

These vehicles will help the 11 members of the team complete its 40-days journey in the tough conditions.

EPower Trucks, a company based in the United Kingdom, has recently presented its brand new all-electric light commercial car able to transport a payload of 670 kilograms.

The gross weight of the zero-emission vehicle is 3.5 tons and it will cost $47,000.

Students Create Electric Vehicle that Gets Efficiency Equivalent of 300mpg

A group of students from the DeLaSalle School in Kansas City teamed up with engineers from Bridgestone America’s Technical Center in Akron to create a special all-electric car.

It is worth mentioning that the team has already carried out a number of tests of their eco-friendly vehicle on Bridgestone’s Texas Proving Grounds. Blacktrail from PG Bikes is the Fastest Electric Bicycle in the World

PG Bikes is a bicycle manufacturer based in Germany that managed to come up with an electric bicycle, called Blacktrail.

The most interesting fact about the electric bike from the German company is that it is considered to be the fastest bike in the world, being able to reach a top speed of 100km/h.

Renault-Nissan and Bajaj Auto to Launch Eco-Friendly $3,000 Vehicle

Having the goal of creating a cost-friendly energy-efficient vehicle, the Renault-Nissan Alliance teamed up with India’s Bajaj Auto and managed to come up with a car called ULC.

The new, compact, eco-friendly vehicle costs just $3,000 and it is able to reach an inspiring 70mpg.

Renault DeZir – New All-Electric Supercar from the French Carmaker

The famous French car-making company Renault has recently presented the design of its new eco-friendly supercar. The new green vehicle, called DeZir, embodies Renault’s new slogan “Drive the Change.”

The futuristic concept boasts an average range of 100 miles on a single charge. The driver can also making use of the company’s Quick Drop system.

Zerotracer – Electric Superbike to Go Around the World in 80 Days

The Zerotracer is a nice concept designed by a Swiss group entitled Design Werk.

This electric motorcycle will be used to travel around the world in 80 days. It will take part in the forthcoming Zero Emission Race.

It is worth mentioning that the eco-friendly bike registers a top speed of 160mph and has a range of 280 miles on a single charge.

Electric Vehicle from Oman Travels 2,236 Miles Per Charge

An Oman-based company called Noor Majan has recently announced that it managed to build an electric vehicle with a record breaking range.

This is the first eco-friendly vehicle manufactured in the Middle East and according to its creators the car can travel a whooping 2,236 miles on a single charge.
