Lotus to Present New Hybrid Vehicle at Paris Motor Show

Visitors of the Paris motor show, which will open its doors on October 2, will be able to witness a new eco-friendly vehicle from Lotus.

The car-maker’s new vehicle is called Elite and it represents a V-8-powered touring car that boasts a folding hard top.

Probably the most interesting feature of the vehicle is its optional hybrid powertrain.

Biofuel-Powered Vehicle to Help Researchers Explore Antarctica

Recently the Moon-Regan Transantarctic Expedition team announced its plan to travel 3,600 miles across Antarctica.

The journey is expected to start this winter and the main helpers of the team are several ice-riders that run on biofuel.

These vehicles will help the 11 members of the team complete its 40-days journey in the tough conditions.

Lotus Presents 414E Evora Hybrid Supercar at Geneva Show

With its new eco-friendly vehicle Lotus has made it clear that the company is serious about starting producing hybrid cars. At the Geneva 2010 Auto Show Lotus presented its Evora 414E Hybrid concept supercar, which boasts a range of 300 miles.

The company’s new supercar has two electric motors that accelerate the car from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds.
