Tesla Model X – New EV with iPad-Style Control Panel and Gullwing-Style Doors

The new Tesla Model X is something special for the car-making industry, but its special features are not very noticeable at first glance.

One of the most interesting things about the new Tesla is its new electric motors located in front and rear. The motors can shift power between the to maximize traction.

However, apart from the engine the vehicle boasts an impressive number of other innovative things like the gullwing-style doors, which the company calls “falcon-wings.”

Finally, the most impressive feature of the whole car is the 17-inch iPad-style touch screen control panel that offers the driver access to their entertainment system, maps and other data.

The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Inside there will be enough space to comfortably accommodate 7 adults.

The Tesla Model X is expected to be launched onto the market in 2014. It will wear a price tag of around $50,000.

Toyota and Tesla Working on a New Electric Vehicle

First of all it would be worth mentioning that last month that Japanese car-making giant, Toyota, announced that it looks forward to invest $50 million in Tesla Motors.

The company also stated that it had a plan for Tesla to acquire the NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing) GM/Toyota plant located in Fremont, California.
