X-Frame – Electric Vehicle That Easily Folds for Storage

This rather odd vehicle has been recently unveiled at the Good Design Expo 2010.

The prototype, dubbed X-Frame, is a revolutionary folding vehicle that can push the boundaries of urban mobility to a new extent.

It commercially launched, the vehicle may as well replace the motorcycle.

Sports Car-Maker Morgan to Add Two Eco-Friendly Vehicles to Its Portfolio

The English sports car manufacturer, Motor Morgan Company, is looking forward to adding two eco-friendly vehicles to its line of sports cars.

The announcement comes shortly after Morgan presented its Eva GT at Pebble Beach 2010.

The company hopes to put two brand new eco-friendly vehicles into production by 2013.

Human-Electric Hybrid Vehicle to Be Commercially Available in 2011

Professor Charles Samuel Greenwood is the one who developed the human-electric hybrid vehicle called “Imagine PS” (PS stands for power station), which is expected to be commercially available in 2011.

The car will be able to reach a top speed of 100km/h (60mph) on the flat and up to 50km/h uphill.

It is worth mentioning that the entire low-mass vehicle was made by hand. Electric Vehicle from Oman Travels 2,236 Miles Per Charge

An Oman-based company called Noor Majan has recently announced that it managed to build an electric vehicle with a record breaking range.

This is the first eco-friendly vehicle manufactured in the Middle East and according to its creators the car can travel a whooping 2,236 miles on a single charge. The Transcendence – Ultra-Green Luxury Yacht

Specialists from Suater Carbon Offset Design decided to create a yacht that would not only be about comfort, luxury and style, but also make use of green energy.

They came up with an eco-friendly 49-meter superyacht called the “Transdescendence.”

The HXO – Eco-Friendly Car Powered by Solar Energy and Hydrogen

Wang Yanchao and Zhang Zhizhen are the two designers who decided to create a futuristic eco-friendly vehicle that doesn’t require operating costs.

Dubbed the HXO, the car harnesses solar power on the move and makes use of it to part water (H2O) into hydrogen and oxygen.

Afterwards hydrogen is used to power the car.

Mooovie – Electric Car With Two- and Three-Wheel Driving Modes

This eco-friendly vehicle that can turn from a two-wheel model into a three-wheel one (and vice versa) was designed by Han Jing, a graduate student from the School of Fine Art at Tsinghua University.

The designer named the car Mooovie.

It would be interesting to note that this concept is the winning project of the first “Science & Future” International Concept Car Design Contest.

Citroen Metropolis – Futuristic Hybrid Concept Car from the French Company

This plug-in hybrid limousine concept car was designed by an international team from Citroen exclusively for the prestigious Shanghai World Fair.

Dubbed Metropolis, the vehicle is 5.3 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.4 meters high.

The eco-friendliness of the vehicle is found in its ability to emit carbon dioxide in an extremely small amount, only 70g/km.

Honda EV-Neo – the Prototype of Electric Scooter Developed for Business Owners

The company has also announced its plans to start lease sales in the land of the rising sun this December.

American Teenager Becomes the Youngest Person to Create Electric Car

A teenager from Ohio became the youngest person to ever create an electric vehicle. Deitrich Ludwig from Monclova, Ohio, managed to construct a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup electric truck, thus become the youngest person on the planet to boast such an achievement.

The young man replaced the gas engine with an eco-friendly electric drive train.
